Erich L. Charles, 16, of Casco, passed away September 10, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born June 8, 1995 to Carl and Barbara(Suprise) Charles.

Erich was currently a sophomore at Luxemburg-Casco High School. He was a member of the high school band, playing tenor saxiphone. Erich was also a member of the cross country and track teams and recently had signed up to be on the stage crew for the one act play. He enjoyed basketball, fishing, fireworks, camping, swimming and playing his Wii games. Erich had a contagious smile and tried to be everyone's friend and help people out. His career goal in life was to become a police officer.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Barbara; his sister, Taylor Charles; grandparents, Myron and Elaine Charles and Dennis Suprise and step-grandmother, Lucy; aunts, uncles and cousins, Lisa (Neil) Rabideau, Renata (Kenny) Collins, Katherine, Mike, Jake Rabideau, Linda Schroeder, Dustin (Ariel) Powell, Stephanie, Tiffany Schroeder, Luann (Steve) Haas, Jake, Luke, Riley Haas, Lori (Jeff) Higgins, Brianna Higgins, Debbie Suprise, Christy Alberts, Becky Haen, Katrina Suprise, Aja Crawford, Mike Suprise, Laura Suprise, Leah, Kate, Sara, T.J., Carrie, Susie Suprise, Ashley, Stephanie , Judy Suprise, Kyle. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kay Suprise, who is now watching over Erich.

Family and friend may come together and share in a time of rememberance with cremains present on Thursday, September 15th from 1pm to 7pm at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Casco. Online condolence messages may be expressed here.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Erich continued to help people by being an organ and tissue donor.
